Annette Cassidy Obituary

Annette Cassidy passed away peacefully at Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, Texas on November 14. Born November 9, 1915, in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She attended the Art Institute of Chicago but spent her young adult life in Queens, New York, and was a John Robert Powers model in the late 1930's in New York City. She married Richard T. Cassidy (previously deceased) in the first Double Wedding Ceremony in the Cadet Chapel at West Point in 1940. Their first assignment was in Panama where their daughter, Camille, was born. Annette was a vibrant and lovely woman and was a great asset to Dick Cassidy wherever he was stationed, including Tokyo; San Francisco; Pensacola, FL; Lakenheath AFB, England; London, Colorado Springs, CO (twice), Carlisle, PA; Baghdad, Iraq; Norfolk, VA; Richards- Gebauer AFB, MO (twice); Kaiserslautern, Germany; Washington D.C. (twice); and El Paso, where Dick retired. She was an accomplished artist and had a gift for decorating a beautiful home wherever she was. Surviving are her daughter, Camille Carlin of Colorado Springs; granddaughter, Tara Loo Tittle; great grand-daughters, Madison and Isabella Tittle, all of Colorado Springs; two sisters, Billie Kaufman (Jim) of Seven Lakes, N.C.; Maxine Max of Sedalia, MO; and several nieces and nephews. In the last several years, Annette was lovingly cared for by loyal and compassionate employees of Comfort Keepers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the El Paso Museum of Art, One Arts Festival Plaza, El Paso, TX, 79901. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Martin Funeral Home.
