RUDA, Annie (nee Kazovsky)
Peacefully at home, in her ninety-sixth year, on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Wife of the late Max Ruda. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Gordon and Carolyn Ruda, Fraida Varah and Tony Garufi, Sheila and Max Maislin. Cherished Bubbie of Howard Ruda and Rhonda Finegold, Stephen Ruda and Angèle Legault, Emily Ruda and fiancé Danny Ryan; Harold Varah and Kathryn Turner, Allan Varah, Dena Varah and Jed Friedman; Stephen and David Cohen, Matthew Maislin and Nadine Emond, Alexandra Maislin and Vincent Carlini. Proud great-grandmother of Geoffrey Ruda and Alexei Varah. Sister of the late Moe Kazovsky, the late Rebecca (Betty) Einbinder, the late Lou Cass, and the late Eva Shaffer. Dear sister-in-law of Nina Cass, Nathalie and Reverend Samuel Gomberg, the late Ethel Kazovsky, the late Morty Einbinder, and the late Frank Shaffer. Annie will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Special thanks to Cynthia for her exceptional care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Thursday, August 1 at 11 a.m. Burial at the King Edward Benefit Association Section, Back River Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Berri and Sauvé. Shiva at 140 France St., D.D.O. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Geriatric Research Fund c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251.

Dear Sheila and Family, My deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved mother, Annie Ruda, Z'L'. She was a lovely, gentle lady, who loved all the members of her extended family deeply, and Michael's favourite aunt. May you and your family be spared any further sorrow.
