Anthony Ambrosio Obituary

Anthony Ambrosio, 42, passed away at his home in Monument on August 14, 2011. Anthony moved to Colorado 15 years ago from Smithtown, Long Island, N.Y. Anthony is survived by his adoring wife, Sofia M. Pico, his parents, Domenico and Marie Ambrosio, and sisters, Maria Grace Karman and Christina DiFiore. At the age of 20 he received the Carnegie Medal of Heroism for rescuing two women from a burning car. Sofia and Anthony were married on July 24, 2004 in Larkspur, Colorado. Anthony loved Sofia with all of his heart and together they embarked on an unique journey that followed them everyday of their marriage. Anthony has been a Chiropractor in Monument, treating hundreds of patients with his healing hands and spiritual devotion for his entire professional career. He had a gift in helping his patients and loved the challenges of finding the time and treatments for even the most difficult cases. He did this with joyful humor bringing much laughter to the healing process. He always found time for a friend in trouble or who needed him. There are countless patients and friends who have been touched by Anthony and who came to love him for who he was to so many. Anthony loved to play the guitar, was a "Jazz and Blues" aficionado and could recite by heart all of the major contributors to this art form. His passion for life, love of all of God's creatures and dedication to his wife, family and friends, will endure forever. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, August 20, 2011, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Celebration of Life, 5440 N. Union Blvd, Colorado Springs, Colorado, with a service to follow at 10:30 am. I was a patient of Dr. Ambrosio´s for years, last saw him in 2009. As I´m now moving to Monument (after several other cities in between) I thought I´d look him up and start seeing Dr. Ambrosio again.
This was the last thing I thought I´d see. He was a wonderful healer, with an amazing personality. I remember all our talks and appreciate all he taught me. I´ll see you in another life, doctor.

Many great memories as 2021 is here, amazing, 10 years, Anthony worked across the hall from my practice in Monument.
Many therapeutic visits and many laughs after work...
Always missed, a light went out way too early.

Anthony was such a gift. He wanted to help everyone he could. When I went to his office for treatment I knew this immediately. He really listened and he remembered what you said...That is rare these days.Unbelievable that such a wonderful person died so young.I once asked him,"Anthony, are you sure
everyone's issues you are dealing with are not affecting YOUR health?"He answered,"The Big Guy takes care of me."He was so interesting and animated. He treated all of his patients like they were the only one. After seeing Anthony I was always in a better mood.He was a mood elevator! The more people you know, the more you realize how rare Anthony was...He exuded love, peace and joy.HE CARED.I really do not understand why he is not here.I wish we would have seen more of Anthony...If I believed in cloning I
would want a million Anthony Ambrosio`s spread all over the world and the world would be a better place.
Funny,caring,brillant,helpful,trustworthy,authentic,brave,genuine-"THE "THE REAL DEAL"-Anthony.(And these are only a few of his attributes...)HE WILL BE MISSED.Dear Sofia we are just a phone call away.We send love to surround you and hopefully bring you comfort.XO

Sofia,

Terry Williams, a patient & friend told me of this sad news. Anthony was a very special and rare man. He was a "man's man", smart, genuine, filled with grace/compassion and an incredible healer and soooo funny!

I am still in shock that Anthony has passed. He left too early. Although we have been gone from Colorado for 2.5 years, I still thought of him regularly. I was always amazed by his God given healing powers. He helped me like no other doctor has. Anothy is in a better place, he will be missed by everyone he ever touched!

Wow...I miss the thought of him!

Anthony was a gifted healer and spiritual teacher. I was saddened and shocked to hear of his passing, but I know his spirit lives on. To me he was not only a colleague, but an important spiritual teacher. I will always feel enormous gratitude for having known Anthony.

Dear Sophia Dr. Anthony was a perfect example of a gifted and humble chiropractic servant healer. The two or three conversations we had was all it took to make that apparent. Im inspired by knowing such a man existed and still exists in the invisible realm Im sure. May you feel his presence with you and God Bless you and your family always! Tom Close D.C.

My family mourns but the vast universe rejoices in having such a powerful healer in its presence. Until we meet again Anthony....and as you always said to my Mom....dying is like taking off a tight pair of shoes. I hope it was nice taking off those shoes Anthony. We will keep Sofia in our lives forever.

Sofia, I'm so sorry for your loss. We were just laughing and being silly two weeks ago. Dr. Anthony could always make me laugh but also think seriously about life's mysteries. He helped me with my pain and I will never forget him.

Anthony was one of those truly special people who touched so many lives. I know mine was profoundly changed for the better from having the opportunity to know him and share his friendship. We would spend hours discussing the deepest subjects and other times just telling jokes. I have never known a more spiritual person who truly dedicated his life to God and serving others. Few can match his intellect and compassion and there is no one more courageous in this world. I have never known such a gifted man and such a warm heart. His smile and good humor made him so much fun to be around. He always made time for me and we could talk about anything and everything, I grew so much from our relationship. So many of us will miss him so much, there are no words. Its hard to imagine making even the smallest fraction of the impact he had on this earth and yet to contribute an ounce of that would seem an infinite achievement. There is no doubt that he is in a better place now and doing more great works without the limitations of this world. Truly one of a kind his energy is transcendent.

My deepest sympathies to Sophia, to his entire family, and to all those touched by this wonderful man. In the hard times of now and those that lie ahead that must come from the grieving process I pray thanks that God will grant all of us strength and consolation beyond our own power and leave us with the cherished memories and faith that Anthony is by his side.

Anthony - we love you, we miss you, we thank you, and we look forward to seeing you when the time comes.

Sofia, I'm so sadened by the loss of our sweet and loving Anthony. He was such a special individual and always had time to talk to anyone..His friendly, loving and caring personality will always be in our hearts. Even though we didn't see much of Anthony we still felt the closeness..He truly was Mr. Smily and his smile WAS contagious..He would always share the love he had for his patients..nothing was too difficult for him to face..His will be missed terribly..We all loved him very much.
My love always...

Oh Sofia, please know that my prayers are with you. Dr. Ambrosio would tell us not to cry because life goes on, but my tears won't stop. He was a bright and enduring and shining light when and where there was none. His laughter was contagious, his healing hands mystical and his knowledge of so many topics and so many issues fascinated me and I'm sure many others as well. He will be so missed. God be with you and the entire family. He loved you so much!
