Anthony Diaz Obituary
As the oldest of nine brothers and sisters, he was an inspiration to his family and all those around him. From the streets of Chicago, Illinois as lead member in the Latin Kings Gang, to completing his Doctoral Degree researching Hispanic Cultural Challenges in Pursuing Leadership, he spent his life redefining himself, testing his limits and leading by example. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Anna Diaz; children, Cinnamon, Anthony, Jr. (Loretta), Christopher, Valentino (Lindsey), and Jasmine; grandchildren, Shawn, Crystal, Joshua, Monique, Oliver, and Emerson; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Diana and Christina; and brothers, David, Michael, Richard Andrew and Daniel.
Funeral Service, 2:00PM, Sunday, February 28, 2016, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Dr. Anthony Martin Diaz.

ANNA SORRY FOR LOSS. TONY and I WERE VERY CLOSE AS YOU KNOW IN OUR TENDER AGE OF 60 WE SEEM TO FALL APART. WE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT OUR ILLNESS TELLING ONE ANOTHER TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. HOW FAMILY DEPENDED ON US. HE LOVED FISHING!WE TRIED
TO FISH AS MUCH AS WE COULD. BUT HIS ILLNESS KEPT US APART. I LOST MY BEST FRIEND . IT'S NOT OVER

Tony will be missed - his heart was always with his family - and once he met you, you felt you were a member of his family! He was the most kind man, placing everybody else's needs before his.
