Anthony Faria
1928 - 2018
SSG. Anthony F Faria, age 89, was born on September 29, 1928 in Tiverton, Rhode Island to Gabriel and Mary(Moitozo) Faria. He passed away peacefully, early February 1, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center. By his side was his wife, Brigitte, with whom he spent 31 joyful years.
He retired from the military after proudly serving 22 years, including time spent in the Vietnam War. He then went on to retire from El Paso County as a heavy equipment operator. A devout catholic, he attended mass regularly at Holy Apostles Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Brigitte Trevino-Faria; son, Bernard K.P. Faria and his wife, Julie Faria. One grandson, Ian Faria; step-daughter, Vira Rhyne; two step-grandchildren, Justin Gibson and Jessica Rhyne; 3 great-grandchildren and his favorite dog, "Ace". He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude; 5 brothers, Gabriel, Manuel, Daniel, Frank, John and 2 sisters, Mary Thiel and Elizabeth Curry.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 7th, 11AM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Rd., with a Rosary/Viewing starting at 10:30 AM. Private interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 4925 N Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80917.

Mr. Trevino, you are a great man. Thank you for your service to the United States of America. I always enjoyed seeing your smiling face and those of your lovely bride Brigitte and grand son Justin. I will miss you greatly, as will your neighbors. we will keep your family in our prayers; may God comfort their aching hearts.
