Anthony Fontana Obituary

Anthony “Tony� was born in Colorado Springs, CO on May 7, 1930 to Antonio and Rosalie (Scaturo) Fontana. He graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1948 and attended Pueblo Junior College. Tony was drafted into the army in 1951 during the Korean conflict and was stationed at Ft. Richardson in Alaska. After being honorably discharged from the service in 1956, Tony worked for Colorado Springs Utilities at the Martin Drake power plant as an apprentice machinist and finally for the United States Post Office as a clerk until his retirement in 1976. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Anna Marie Laymon, and a sister that died at birth in 1924. Tony is survived by his three children; Stephanie Boehnke and her husband Tom of Sandy, UT. Robin Cameron and her husband Craig of Phoenix AZ, and son Steven and his wife Cynthia of Colorado Springs, CO. Tony also had five grand children; Austin and Tayler Cameron; Steven Fontana and his wife Brittany; Jessica and Melissa Fontana and two great grand children, Malachi and Selah Fontana. Services will be held at Swan/Law funeral home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO on Wednesday, May 18th at 10:00 AM. Tony's last wishes were to be cremated and the remains will be interred with his parents at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
