It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur Raymond "Art" McKay of Colorado Springs, CO. Art was born to Lloyd and Laura McKay in Sterling, IL. He married his forever love Carolyn (Dillie) McKay in Colorado Springs on October 21, 1959.
Art proudly served and retired from the U. S. Army after 20 years, before a second career with the U. S. Postal Service, retiring after 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, fishing, and watching and cheering for his favorite Colorado sports teams. You could often find him on his porch enjoying the beautiful view of Pikes Peak.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years Carolyn, children Cindy (Tom) Conway, Terry (Bruce) Newell, Rick (Teresa) McKay, and Laura (Claire, Jr) Gann, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and brother Harold, as well as a large extended family.
A "Celebration of Life" service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2021 @ Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO.

If you would like help with any matters related to casualty assistance, Defense Finance & Accounting Service, Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), Veterans Affairs (VA), etc. you can contact our office on Buckley SFB at 720-847-6693. The RAO is staffed by volunteers, all military retirees themselves, and our sole purpose is to provide assistance to any military retirees and surviving spouses/family members with anything related to their military service and/or benefits, in particular during difficult times such as this. We are deeply sorry for your loss.
