Hello this is April Workman from Corpus Christi, TX. I was a good friend with Aubrey in Kindergarten. I liked playing with her and swinging on the swings together. I remember how I was shy, and she was always so kind to me. We had fun playing at her house with Kameron and sometimes my sisters came too. My prayers will be with you. Love, April

Hi, this is Kameron from Spokane. I went to kindergarten with Aubrey at Ponderosa Elementary School. Aubrey was one of my best friends in the world. I always had fun spending time with her, especially at her house eating popcorn and playing in her backyard. She was very funny, always making me laugh. :) She was a good dancer. She would help me feel better when I was upset and encouraged me.
To Mr. and Mrs. Holguin- God is with you now and I know that she is in a safe place. I will always pray for you, anywhere and anytime.
COURAGE AND GODSPEED-

Hi. It's Emily. I wish you hadn't gotten sick and left us. I miss you very much. There's a prayer I keep in my room and say when I get sad. It makes me feel better. It's called "One Little Rose" and it goes like this:
"I would rather have a little rose from the garden of a friend.
Than to have the choicest flowers when my stay on earth must end.
I would rather have one pleasant word in kindness said to me
Than flattery when my heart is still and life has ceased to be.
I would rather have a loving smile from friends I know are true
Than tears shed round my casket when this world I've bid adieu.
Bring me all your flowers today, whether pink, or white or red;
I'd rather have one blossom now than a truckload when I'm dead"
Aubrey, I miss you. I just want to say goodbye. I promise I'll visit you. I see you in my dreams.
Love, Emily

My daughter, also 8, and Aubrey received First Holy Communion together. It was such a special time then, and we cherish it so much more now. She keeps a picture of that morning on her dresser, and every night, I look at it, and I still can't comprehend that she's gone from this Earth, but not far from our hearts. God needs little angels at His side, too. Please keep her wonderful family in your thoughts and prayers.
