Audrey Nistle Obituary

Heaven is a little cottage by the sea

Audrey entered this life in Cowes, Isle Of Wight, England and later lived in Ventnor where she enjoyed an idyllic childhood of contented simplicity with her Mum, Dad and sister Joan.

The tranquility of village life was shattered by the advent of WWII, which left its mark on so many.

Audrey was a free spirit that led her to move to London at the age of 17 to experience the world.

At 19 she met and married a young yank – George Nistle and together they raised two wonderful children, George Nistle Jr (Elaine) and Deirdre Long who survive her. And welcoming her to the little cottage was her dear grandson Spencer.

Audrey's kindness, generosity, counsel, wit and captivatingly recounted stories will be missed by all fortunate enough to have called her Mom, Grandma, Aunt, cousin or friend. It would be her wish that if ever you find yourself a little out of sorts, to plant a sunflower in the garden, put the kettle on, make a cup of tea and keep your pecker (that's CHIN for all non-limeys) up!

A service and cremation have taken place with her final resting place to be home again Kathleen.
