Aurora Francis Obituary

Aurora was born August 15, 1999 in Colorado Springs. She soon blessed the Francis home and became Aurora Kaye Francis on August 15, 2000. With her parents at her side, she passed away peacefully on April 22, 2005. God's plan for Aurora's life included her family and also each life she touched. Though the years can be counted on one hand, Aurora's effects on this world are too numerous to count. Her way of connecting one life to another created bonds which will never be broken. Her smile had a way of drawing you in and you'd do anything to get her to smile again. Her "happy feet" and desire to jump to the "rooftops" made everyone smile with her. Her favorite place was at home soaking up the wonderful sunshine. Her body was weak but her heart and soul carried her through this life into the next where she is now at home with God. She will now run and play with angels as we remember her as the angel on earth we were privileged to know. Aurora will be missed by her loving parents, Rick and Karen, her sister, Kerith, her brothers, Eric, Tony (Tanna), Jake, and Drew, her grandma Marjorie, her grandma Carol, her new niece Kaylee and the many aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends. Her paternal grandparents William and Leone Francis and her maternal grandpa Richard Mahon preceded Aurora in death. Visitation and reception will begin at 10:30 a.m., and a celebration of Aurora's life will follow at 12:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Woodland Park Community Church, 800 Valley View, Woodland Park. A private graveside ceremony will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Aurora Francis Celebration of Life Fund, at Vectra Bank of Woodland Park.

Each time I saw that beautiful smile and those sparkly eyes I knew God had truely blessed us all with little Aurora's Presence. Karen, I know you felt like Aurora was a blessing to you and your family but all of you were also a very special blessing to her to.

Even though I didn't see her much, the times I was privileged to take care of Aurora brought a smile to my face.
