Avé Dugas Obituary
Born in Manchester on May 15th, 2013, Avé was the treasured daughter of Ross J. and Sabrina E. (Cohen) Dugas and beloved little "stister" of Lilah. During Avé's short time here on Earth, she brought an immense amount of joy to all those around her with her infectious smile and bright eyes. Affectionately known as "Boodah-boo," Avé especially loved it when her devoted mother, Sabrina, sang to her, nursed her, kissed her chubby cheeks, and squeezed her chunky thighs. She also felt safe, comfortable, and protected in the nurturing and loving arms of her father, Ross. Doting sister, Lilah, demonstrated her love for Avé by talking to her, singing to her, gently tickling her, and wiping away her spit-up. Her delicate and jovial laugh felt like a warm ray of sun on a cloudy day.
Avé enjoyed being held by her mommy and daddy, kissed by her sister, and being told "I love you" an uncountable amount of times. She was a beautiful baby girl who affected so many lives. She was greatly loved by all who met her and will be deeply missed. Avé will always be her parents' perfect angel and Lilah's little "stister" as she gave her family a lifetime of love during her short time on Earth.
In addition to her parents and sister, Avé is survived by her maternal grandparents, Bob and Diane Cohen "Grampa and Memere' of Hampton, and Charlene Beetz "ZZ" and "Papa Duke" Ward Ducatte, of Manchester; paternal grandparents, Gary and Laura Dugas "Pepere and Grammy" of Hooksett; maternal great-grandmother Camille Beetz of Manchester; paternal great-grandmother, Roberta Dugas of Hooksett; maternal aunts and uncles, Nathan Cohen and wife Krysten of Manchester, Chantal Cote of Hooksett, Kerri Roos and husband Peter of Dunbarton, and Amy Goetz and husband John of Poughquag, N.Y.; as well as many cousins and extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, at 3 p.m. at the Manchester Christian Church, 1308 Wellington Road, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to The CJ Foundation for SIDS, 33 Prospect Ave., Hackensack, NJ 07601 or visit cjsids.org.
Assisting the family with arrangements is the Phaneuf Funeral Home.
