Avis Stevens Obituary

Avis Lucile (Diamond) Stevens, aka Pat and Polly, died April 11, 2013 at home in Colorado Springs. She was born June 17, 1918 in International Falls, Minnesota to LuLu Gray (Wilson) Diamond and Lester Richard Diamond. She married Asa (Steve) Mason Stevens and had twin daughters Beverly and Barbara. Avis is predeceased by her husband Asa, her grandson Mike, and her daughter Beverly. Avis is survived by her daughter Barbara, granddaughter Carol, her half-sisters, cousins and many friends. Many thanks to Randall and Ann Power who called and sent cards and letters, and to Carolyn Jensen, her son Rick, and Judy and Roger Samuel who made visits to see her. Also, many thanks to Caring For People and to Pikes Peak Hospice who provided excellent care. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to Pikes Peak Hospice. A Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013 with a Funeral Service on April 19, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with the burial to follow. All will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home. Please visit the web site below to leave your condolences.
