Bamby Sander Obituary

Sander
Bamby Lynne (Dotson)
Sander
May 7, 1963
January 16, 2025

Bamby was born on May 7, 1963, in Pound, VA, to Betty (Hodges) Dotson and Otis Dotson. She left her earthly body on January 16, 2025, to claim her heavenly body.
Bamby grew up in France, England, New York, Florida, and Colorado, and later lived in Arizona and back to her beloved Colorado. Bamby and her deceased husband, Butch Sander, had a horse and goat ranch in Arizona. She spent lots of time riding her horse and roping goats in competitions, sometimes riding with her young daughter, Gina, in front of the saddle.
After moving back to Colorado, Bamby loved riding with her husband Tim on their motorcycle along with family, neighbors, and friends on Colorado's country roads and valleys. Riding to Cripple Creek, CO, was her favorite. Bamby loved to cook; she watched every cooking channel. She loved long walks with her friend Barb with her dogs on country lanes. She loved helping Tim choose paint colors in their home and loved his detail in getting it just right. She loved her daily talks with her mom and daughter Gina, and talking with her sister Susan about her teenagers (Joshua and Caroline). She loved to talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere.
Bamby is survived by her husband, Timothy Elliott; her father, Otis Dotson; her mother and sister in Colorado Springs, CO, Betty (Hodges) Dotson and Susan (Dotson) Hollmotz; her daughter, Gina Sander; her grandchildren, Chloe and Kylie; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter, Samantha, and son, William Sander (each died at birth); her grandparents, Lawrence and Loretta Hodges; her beloved brother, Jamie Dotson; uncles, Dr. James Hodges and Curtis Hodges; father-in-law, Lee Elliott; and sister-in-law, Gwen Elliott.
Please consider registering as a blood and organ donor in Bamby's honor. She was both a blood and organ recipient in the last couple of years as she fought hard to stay in her earthly body. She was a warrior.
A private visitation was held for in-town family only; a memorial service will be held at a future date. Details will be shared at that time.
