Loving and beloved Mom/Grandmother/Great Grandmother passed away peacefully at home with family. Barb was born in Jonesboro, Ark. and was the twelfth child of William Hubert Reed and Eliza Caroline McGill. Since her husband passing in 2004 she has had to battle cancer, and now she has decided to join her husband in the hereafter.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Eliza Reed, her husband Boyce Clayton her grandson David Clayton, her brothers Boyne, Deward, Vincent, Othal, Raymond and Floyd, her sister Helen, Ila, Shirley, and Florence.

She is survived by her sons Tony Clayton and wife Judy, as well as Scott Clayton and wife Mary. She is survived by one sister Mary Skelton as well as grandsons Matthew, and four grand kids, Terrell, Elijah, David, and Naiomi.

Tony, Scott and families,
Your Mom and I talked a lot about life and faith. I was glad her strong faith was mentioned at the service. It's something we share. I missed working with her after her retirement. I will miss talking to her now as will all those who knew her. Take comfort in her faith.

As Washington Irving said "A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts." It is indeed a great loss to lose your mother...

Hey Mom, miss you already. Preparing for the service today, Tony's doing great with everything. So glad you are not suffering anymore. I was singing Delta Dawn and I Never Promised You a Rose Garden this morning. How many times I heard you sing those songs from the kitchen. Love you, Scott
