Barbara Congiardo Obituary

Barbara Sue Congiardo went home to her Lord and Savior March 8, 2014. She died at home surrounded by her family and friends.

For those that knew my Mom they knew she was a real dynamo and active up until the last couple of months prior to her death. She was a business woman in Southern Illinois and worked in the banking industry for her entire career. She started as a bookkeeper at City National Bank in Murphysboro, IL and Retired as the Cashier and Chief Financial Officer of South Pointe Bank. In 2010, she moved to Woodland Park, Colorado to be with family. In retirement she remained active, working as a volunteer at the hospital and at the local library. In her spare time she took digital photography and art classes. She was an active member of St. David's Episcopal church where she served on the vestry.

Her husband, Joel F. Congiardo of Murphysboro, IL, preceded her in death in 2008.

She is survived by her son, Mark Congiardo, her daughter-in-law, Nancy Congiardo, and her two grandsons, Jared and Grant Congiardo.

Services for Barbara Sue Congiardo will be held at St. David's Episcopal Church in Woodland Park, CO, at 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 16, 2014 with the Rev. Myrna Bevens presiding.
