Barbara Henson Obituary

The morning I got the call from Kaylynn my heart stopped. Making the call to mom and dad was the last thing I though I would be doing on my anniversary.



When we were growing up, you were my best friend, no matter were we moved to you came with me. When you and Brenda used to fight, I was on your side. Just like when you and I fought Brenda was on yours. I guess we both love our little sister. All of the things we used to do together. I really miss you.



Logan and Nathan miss you too. Logan wanted to say he loved his auntie Barb at your party ( as he calls it). The night I told them you had died, he asked if we could talk to Jesus and ask him to keep you safe. Nathan just knows you're with Jesus in heaven and wants to come visit. I'll see you when I can.

Barb will never be forgotten by her family and friends as she was one of the true caring people of this world. Her smile and and sense of humor would brighten everyones day, make every work day better no matter how stressful or sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kaylynn and family. We love you Barb

Her spirit was of love & kindness. Her heart was grand, willing to go the extra mile for the sake of another. My life was truly enriched by her presence while working at both Colorado National Bank and the City of Colorado Springs. Peace at journey's end is a treasured blessing. Rejoice family and friends as she would have us do, and remember that God's perfect work is fulfilled everyday!

I didn't know Barbara but want to extend my sympathy for your loss. Barbara's open face and eyes convey a caring attitude. She will be remembered as a positive light in many lives.

Barb was truly a beautiful person inside and out. We worked together at CSPD and she was quite fond of making fun of mine and Sandy's Texas accents. I laugh even now thinking about it. I feel blessed that I got to see her a couple of weeks ago. She will always be near and dear to my heart. We will miss her very much!!

From the moment I met her, I knew that Barbara was one of the best things that ever happened to my sister. With her endless energy, contagious laugh, limitless optimism, and cheerful attitude, she brought much happiness to our family. Her memory will be fondly cherished and her presence will be greatly missed. We love you Barbara!

We are so saddened by the loss of your Barbara. Dolores, you were our daughter's babysitter 26 years ago. It doesn't seem possible! I know Amber and Zach LOVED Barb. We know she lived a beautiful life. Remember the good times...you will have them once more. Amber now has a daughter of her own to love and cherish as you do Barb. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Barb, What can I say? I can only say that you were a friend indeed, in good times, in bad times on my side forever more! Words cannot express how much I love and will miss you. You are in a better place and I promise you that we will never ever forget all that you have done for my family and I!! Kaylynn will always be a part of our lives no matter where we are!! I will miss Barb more than words can say. I have been blessed to have known you and had you as a friend.Working with you was always a fun adventure and I looked forward to hearing your pleasant voice every day.

Barb was always so cheerful. I dont remember a day that she wasnt upbeat. I worked with her at TJ Maxx and then Colorado National Bank. They were some of the most fun days! I hadnt talked to her in years, but I am saddened by her death. God bless her family and loved ones.

Barbara was the best stepmom I could have ever asked for. When she came into my life six years ago, I knew she was a blessing to my mom, but I never realized how much of a blessing she would be to me and my daughter. I miss her so much, but at the same time I feel so fortunate to have had the time to get to know such a beautiful soul. Our family will never be the same without her, but I am happy she is now in a better place. I love you Grandma Barbara...

Barb, you will be truely missed, this world will not be the same without you. I was so glad that we got to see each other a few weeks ago and your hug felt to good! I will miss your smile, your big gulps, and "it's all good" being heard. Please watch over us, keep us safe.

All you have to do is mention Barb's name and I can hear her voice! She had an infectious personality.

Barb, you were everyone's best friend (especially Disney's!). I don't think you knew a person you didn't like and if you did, you never said a word. I have missed you terribly since you left Colorado Springs and now I will miss you more. I am thankful for the last hug we shared only a few weeks ago. I love you and miss you always.

Barbara was one of my two best friends in high school and for many years after. Although we hadn't kept up in the last few years, I think about her often and have some of my best memories. Late nights at Target, fast rides over roller coaster road, tuna fish sandwiches for lunch in the park downtown. To Barbara's family, I wish I could be with you on Sunday and tell you all what a good friend she was to me. I will miss her dearly.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Barb was a wonderful and sweet woman. I 1st met her when she started working as a dispatcher for CSFD. She always had a chipper and happy voice on the radio and her personality flowed over the airwaves. I know that she is keeping "watch" over us all. God bless her and her family.
