Barbara Plumlee Ortiz

Barbara E. Plumlee Ortiz, 85, passed away peacefully on April 25, with her daughter Barbie & Son-in-law Michael Corliss at her bedside, at their home in Gorham, Maine. Also at Barbara's side was her longtime caregiver Joyce Sweeney.
She was born in Clarendon, Arkansas to Harvey & Ludeen Plumlee. Barbara settled in Colorado Spgs. in 1964 with her first husband and their 2 children, they loved to go camping & fishing in the Mountains. She worked for School District 11 at Coronado High School for many years. Barbara had an Angels soul, a beautiful smile and an outgoing spirit. Though she struggled with Dementia, those qualities shined thru every day to her family & caregivers. Barbara will be dearly missed by everyone who loves her including her brother Larry & wife Melinda Plumlee, son Michael & wife Pam Ortiz, daughter Barbie & husband Michael Corliss, grandson Michael & wife Ashley Ortiz, and her great granddaughters Kaylee Ortiz & Morgan Ortiz. Funeral will be June 2, at 11:00 am, First Presbyterian Church in the Springs.
