Barbara Porter Obituary

Dear Dick and Family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Friends are lost but never forgotten and always in our hearts. Barb was a good friend it seems like time just passed us by. Although it feels like yesterday when we spent our time studying for our CMAs and going to AAMA meetings. I have often looked at the little doll she made and thought of her and her boundless energy. She is not far just on the other side of life where she is aglow and blooming again.

Dear Dick, Donna and I wish to let you know how sorry we are to learn of yours and the family loss. Barbara was a Gem and we will miss our good times together, particularly the gatherings at your place with the hummingbirds and all. Dick, sorry to hear about your loss of Barbara. Throughout the years of our friendship I never had the pleasure of meeting her and am truly sorry that I am not in Colorado Springs in order to give you my condolences in person.

Ms. Barbara will be truly missed at St. Luke's Eye Care & Laser Center. She was a special lady and a class all her own! The physicians, staff and patients that worked with Barbara on research projects, will not soon forget her caring grace. Our deepest sympathy to her family. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. She was such an upbeat person and knew she enjoyed life to the fullest. I met her visiting the site where she worked as a coordinator, and later at an Investigators meeting. She was such a proud grandmother, and also proud to be an integral member of the fight against cancer. She will be sorely missed.
