Barbara Sabatello Obituary

Barbara Ann Sabatello, age 46, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Pikes Peak Hospice Residence in Colorado Springs after a courageous fourteen year battle with breast cancer. She was a loving mother, wife, sister and aunt but most of all a warrior who fought until the very end and gave everything she had for her family .. to see one more game, one more concert, one more graduation, one more birthday. She had been a Dental Hygienist prior to her illness.

Barbara Beach was born on October 14, 1968 in Berwin, Illinois to the late Wayne and Maureen (Philbin) Beach. She was a 1986 graduate of Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, Illinois. She attended, graduated and met her husband of 22 years at Northern Illinois University. She married Nicholas Sabatello on July 25, 1992 in Clarendon Hills, Illinois.

Among the countless volunteer hours at her children's school and their church, Barbara was a common fixture along the sidelines and in the seats for all her children's activities and events. She was the rock of the family who for years hid any outward signs of her illness to the general public to deflect any attention off herself so she can maintain the most positive outlook on the lives she touched. She will be best remembered for her unusual courage and strength through a very difficult illness.

She is survived by her husband, Nick of Colorado Springs; her children, Sara and Mark; and her three siblings, Geraldine (Mark) Ferrari of Reno, Nevada, Wayne (Patricia) Beach, Jr. of Henderson, Nevada and Mary Beach (Tina Fabio) of Gilbert, Arizona.

Mass of Christian Burial; 10:00AM, Saturday, January 31, 2015, St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 8755 Scarborough Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado. A reception will follow the services at the Church.

Interment and a Memorial Mass will be set for a future date at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
