Mrs. Sjaastad was my daughter´s third grade teacher at Rudy Elementary. She is one of the reasons she wanted to become a teacher and when at UCCS, she was mentored by Mrs. Sjaastad, that was wonderful for her. My daughter became a first grade teacher and has been teaching for 19 years now, three years in Colorado and now in Montana. We are very sad to hear of her passing! Debi Hunter, daughter Laurie.

I have fond memories of Barb as a member of Kinnikinnik Chapter, NSDAR, and her service to the chapter for many years as its Treasurer. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
