Beate Mayer Obituary

Beate Mayer, aged 56, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at her home in Colorado Springs, CO with her guardian angel and best friend, Dorrie Hollenback, by her side. Beate fought valiantly with Ovarian Cancer diagnosed in 2011 and her more recent diagnosis of Ataxia in 2015. Her strong will to live, love for her children and grandchildren, and her want to defy the odds gave Beate 4 1/2 beautiful years. She did defy the odds and statistics; she lived life with grace and beauty despite her illnesses.

Beate was born on November 26, 1959 in Zaberfeld, Germany to Hans and Maria Mayer. The middle child of eleven children - Georg, Egon, Werner, Doris, Marianne, Herbert, Martin, Bernd, Salome, and Rose.

Beate had two daughters, Diane Stone and Christina James, and five grandchildren, Kaylee Stone, Gunner Sellers, Blakely Sellers, Bentley Sellers, and Weston Dyess.

Beate is survived by her mother, Maria Mayer, daughters, Diane Stone and Christina James, son-in-law, Jay Stone, grandchildren, siblings, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She follows her father, Hans Mayer, and her brother, Werner Mayer.

A private Celebration of Life ceremony will take place for her closet family and friends.

Beate, your light & strong spirit always burned bright. You endured so much in your
Life with beauty, love, style & fortitude for your Daughters, Grandchildren, family & friends.
Always Dressed to the "nines" . You're talents were many. Working hard at your job. Planting flowers & landscaping your home tirelessly; even when you weren't feeling good. Your tenacity is an inspiration to me. I feel my life has been blessed because you called me a friend. Your vibrant spirit is missed on earth. I know you're with God & enjoying heaven. Until we meet again...........I love you
