Oh Belinda, I miss you so much. I miss all the sessions we had together, just laughing and playing Viola. You were one of the best teachers I've had. I'll never forget the memories we shared together. May you rest in peace.

Dear Belinda,

Oh how you are missed by so many. All who encountered you were blessed by your smile, entranced by your eyes, humored by your stories, appreciated with how REAL you are. You had traits that few have the courage to display. You were definitely real. You called it as you saw it. I never knew you to tell even the smallest lie. You looked everyone in the eye. You were courteous to strangers. Your mannerisms were dynamic and expressive. Your heart open. Although I was only there for a flash in your final years here, you made a lifelong impression on me. I find myself talking about you often. Telling your stories of rollin' around Europe entertaining the masses with your strings. Undoubtedly, you were the most talented person I've ever known. The way you went about your life was often by the seat of your pants. In the most hectic of times, things worked. Everything would always come together. Not once did I ever hear you pass judgement on anyone. Hate was not in your vocabulary. Christmas to you was all about giving, not receiving. While others were getting hammered on egg nog, you were putting care packages together for the homeless. Really really really nice care packages. Essentials, along with imaginative items I'm sure everyone appreciated. You did your part. Your heart was displayed in numerous ways. The music though, oh my goodness. Beethoven to AC/DC was performed by you with ease, with flair. I couldn't grasp how in the world you could hear something once and rock it out immediately with the cello or violin at your fingertips. How? How in the world could you do that?!?!! Amazing. I was lucky to be able to experience you expertise. Blown away I was. It runs through my head now as I write this. Images of us in your dining room on McKinley, listening and playing music, runs through my brain often. How blessed were the people that got to hear you privately, one on one? Very. Very very blessed. They'll never forget, I'm sure. Often I speak of you as the greatest performer I'll ever know. The way you described to me that you SAW music... Incredible. It's shifted music in me forever. Never, ever will I hear a string instrument without my thoughts going to you. Your ego-less self. Your beautiful self. I feel that you are on another great adventure now, with Taya and Ezra closest to your heart. What amazing, brilliant kids. I hope all is well with them. I'm sure they miss you terribly. However, their path is certainly to be good. The family of yours is one of the strongest I've ever seen. I would bet everything I have in life that your family goes above and beyond for the two of them. Taya and Ezra have so much of you in them. They're bound to have wonderful lives. The love they receive will be genuine, for they are genuine. You did a WONDERFUL job raising them. You got Mom skillzzz, fo sho. They're by far the coolest kids I've been around. I really really really hope they are doing well. So, after I send this, I'm going to sit back, crack a cold one, spark some green, and watch 2cello videos in your honor. I hope you are still performing music. I guess, to me, you are the music now...

Love ya,

Ron Cook
