Suzie I don't know what to say. I still can't believe he is gone. When Pastor Mike announced it Sunday I didn't want to believe it. When my husband showed me his picture in the paper I just broke and cried. He was such an amazing man. I want to thank you for sharing him and that infectious smile with us. My son Michael adored him as a cabin leader. He liked the fact that Bernie was not afraid to have a pillowcase with pink and purple hearts on it. We laughed when we first saw it but he said you gave it to him and it was good enough for him. I couldn't argue with that. I felt more comfortable with him as Michael's leader because Michael can be a little handful and I knew Bernie would be good to him. It was Michael's first camp by himself. The Jensen family loves Bernie and his family and are here for anything. Even if to just talk and me listen. You all are in our prayers. And know that when you feel the gentle breeze on your face, it is Bernie kissing you and watching over his family still from above.

Bernie one of the most inner true person ive ever met. True believer of his faith in the lord and that truly showed in his actions and words. To put it in simple words if it is possiable knowing him just a little bit still strives me to be a better man of the lord, and I thank u for that u will be truly missed. From love from the osburn family. Our prayers will be with your family and friends.

You are all like a family to us, we grieve as you grieve. May the Lord use this experience to bring others closer to God, just as Bernie would have desired. My husband and I will never forget the BBQ's, lunchs and talks with were blessed with. Susie you are an amazing women of God, you always have friends here that will be with you through thick and thin. Like TJ said, this is just the beginning, I can't wait for our next camping trip! We'll give Bernie some competition as he watches over us while TJ helps the boys fish :) May the Lord bring you peace and understandig, beyond our understanding! Hugs my beautiful friend!

There are people that God puts in our path that are placed there to guide us. Bernie was one of those people.
There are people that have a light of goodness around them. Bernie was one of those.
There are people that make others better, just by a smile.
Bernie was one of those.
There are those that make us better for knowing them.
Bernie is one of those.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you God for allowing me to know this beautiful person.

Doug, Virginia and Bernies family. Even though we did not know Bernie, from Jordan's caring words he must have been a wonderful man, son, father, brother and husband! We are thinking of you with sadness in our hearts.
This is one of my favorite pictures from our dorm days when Bern tried to blow up a rubber glove on his head only to have it explode :)

I had the privilege of living with Bern during his two years at the University of Washington. Bern was one of the funniest, loyal and devoted people I have ever met. Bern was easily the best of us, he was a friend who would always make the time to sit down if you needed to talk and was never frustrated by our ignorance of his faith. We had a lot of fun together but you always sensed that he needed more, he found that while on a summer trip to Mexico and never looked back. I am so sorry for all our loss but most of all to his wife and children who I am sure brought him so much joy. Bern was one-of-a-kind.

I am so blessed to have known Bernie Kellogg. We met at Visalia First Assembly. Our children often attended Sunday School together during the years. Bernie was an Godly example of a strong and caring heart. I remember the day he first greeted us and welcomed our family to Visalia from New York. My heart is heavy. I look forward to seeing him once again in Heaven. May God's love cover his family with a peace and comfort beyond our understanding, which only God can provide.

Dear Kellogg Family,
My heart goes out to you during this most difficult time. I had the fortunate pleasure of teaching Hannah in Daisies last year and knowing Bernie just the few moments he would drop her off or pick her up and he had such a wonderful spirit about him. Truly a man of God, wonderful husband, and leader as a father. God bless you during this time and always.
