Bettie Erickson Obituary

Bettie Lue Erickson (B'Lue), age 82, of Colorado Springs, passed away February 16, 2007. She graduated from CSHS in 1942. During WWII, she joined the Navy and served as a Yeoman 2C at Port Hueneme, California and Camp Carson, Colorado. Hal Erickson, the love of her life and best friend for 54 years, preceded her in death in 2002. As an elementary school secretary for 30 years, B'Lue left her memory in thousands of little hearts. She was past president of CAEOP. Her presence touched all she met. "Mom" to many, but foremost to Linda Parrish and Kathie Harvey (deceased), "Grandma" to Tiffni Woodworth and Jamie Shirey, "Little Gramie" to Wesley and Whitni Woodworth, Wendy Harrison, Mikala and Madison Shirey, "Aunt" to Paula, Uffe and Thor Bennedsen. Her parents Senator Vern and Bess Cheever preceded her in death. You will warm my heart with sunshine when I sit and remember.
