My heartfelt Sympathy goes out to the entire Family of Betty. I was so happy I got to see her on my last visit to the Springs. That fall sure knocked the wind out of her sails but she was still full of life. She loved her Grandchildren more than anything in the world. We always heard about their accomplishements, their jobs, their school functions. May she Rest In Peace.

My thoughts and prayers to Martin and family. My late husband, Bob Cates was very fond of both Betty and Martin. May you be comforted at this difficult time.

Wherever Betty was, the surrounding environment was brightened by her presence. When I came to Colorado Springs in 1995, she and Martin were welcoming and gracious to me. I was alone, but, with Betty to help introduce me to the community, I was never lonely. Of Betty can be said, honesty and integrity were fundamental to her character. A rare and wonderful attribute in a person these days! Rest in peace, Betty. We will always think of you with great fondness. Your family and many many friends will miss you very much. Betty was such a dear person. She loved to attend concerts at the Philharmonic and often came backstage to compliment the musicians. She was generous, kind-hearted, and so funny. She will be sorely missed.

Betty was very special and always welcomed people with open arms. She lit up the room with her smile and had a way of making everyone comfortable. I have been lucky enough to be included in many family events and she beamed when surrounded by family and friends. Betty laughed often and always with a gleam in her eyes. Rest in peace Betty, you are missed already.
