You are all in my prayers

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Living above her in my condo was something else. We got off on the wrong foot; she towed my parents car when they traveled to Colorado Springs for my college graduation. She said she did it because it was from Minnesota so she thought it was stolen. To think back now it makes me laugh. But that was her, always looking out. We got closer as my move to Bemidji got closer. We talked at length several times in the last month or so I was there. She asked me to have dinner with her before I left and I simply ran out of time. Now, of course, I wish I would've spent that time with her. I moved away, but it's different knowing she isn't there to make sure everything's on the up and up for me. She was a wonderful woman with a contagious smile that lit up her whole face. I feel blessed to have known her the short time I did. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

A Happy Day at Carol's - Nov 2011

Dear Debbie, Laura, and all the family,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Just last week she wrote me and e-mail that I was using the wrong address for Debbie & Carl. Even one day can make such a difference in our lives. Over the years, Joann has kept me updated on Betty. She went through so much grief, such hard times, but I know all of her kids were the light of her life. Do you remember that she asked me to be the DJ at her wedding to Barry? I was so honored to do that, and it was fun getting out all my old 45 records for dancing. We were from the same era - nothing like the Fabulous 50's, that "Old Time Rock & Roll" & Elvis. I hope you all can find comfort in your mother's love for each of you, your good memories with her, and know that now she is not suffering anymore. She really lives on through each of you, and I see her when I look at you. With no kids of my own, my heart lives on in Doreen - she is my soul to go on. There are currently 3 books on Amazon.com about a little boy, a woman orthopedic doctor, and a brain surgeon who all went to Heaven and came back l- "To Heaven & Back" or something like that. One of them would be wonderful to read. They each said that Heaven is extreme Love, brilliant colors, and that there were animals too, which would not be Heaven to me without them. I am so sorry for all of you. Love from Carol
