Betty Jensen Obituary

On March 20th, God called home his beloved servant, Betty Ann Jensen. She ran the good race and fought the good fight. Now a new star is shining bright, illuminating the way for those of us left behind. Betty Ann, we will miss your warm smile, your gentle touch, and your loving ways. But we stand firm in his promise that we will be together again. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Thursday in the Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Isaac Butterworth officiating. Services are under the direction of Lunn's Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. The family will hold a visitation from 6pm to 7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. An amazing and extremely talented woman, Betty could do anything she set her mind to. A gifted baker, she baked birthday and wedding cakes that were out of this world. Her woodworking skills rivaled "tool time". She sewed clothes fit for an emperor. As a gardener, she could grow strawberries in the desert. Betty also had a huge capacity to love and a helping hand for those in need. She was a giver, and give she did. Betty was born on August 22, 1930 in Colorado Springs, CO. She lived most of her life there, moving to Texas nine years ago. She raised three beautiful daughters: Debra Lynne Martin of Wichita Falls, TX, Nancy Milliken of Fort Collins, CO, and Carol Brock of Tucson, AZ. Betty was blessed with nine grandchildren: Melissa Martin Miller, Robbie Martin, and Cori Lynne Martin Owen all of Wichita Falls, TX, Jared and Jordan Brock of Tucson, AZ, and LeXuan, Bailey, Casey, and Nam Milliken of Ft. Collins, CO, and two great grandchildren, Clayton and Mia Miller of Wichita Falls, TX. Betty was preceded in death by brothers Paul, Dale, and Harold Duncan and Cleve Dewitt, sisters Gerry Sparks, Gloria Good, and Jenny DeWitt, and granddaughter Katie Leah Milliken. She is survived by sisters Virginia Purvine, Dorothy Lee Weesner, and Shirley Jean York. Tributes to the family can be made online at www.lunnscolonial.com.

I didn't know Mrs. Betty personally but this morning the Holy Spirit put her name in my spirit and I decided to send the family a message. She is with the FATHER and is beholding all the beauty she longed to see. One day all her children will see her again. Don't fret but be encourage. God Bless

Debbie,

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Mom called me yesterday to tell me and she felt so bad that she couldn't go to the service as she didn't know about it previously. I remember the many mornings I would walk down the alley to your house, pick you up and head to East. Meanwhile, your Mom was always there with a smile and send off that helped make our day.

Thinking of you even though we haven't seen each other for years, but the memories hold strong.

Take care of yourself
