Betty Mills Obituary

Mills, Betty Jane, 91, of Colorado Springs CO, went to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Betty was born to the late John Smithkey and Harriet Rachel Snook in Akron, Ohio and graduated from West High School there. She was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Herin and LaJoie Mills, brother Jack Smithkey, son David V. Herin Sr., daughter Beverly A. Mills and grandson Dr. David V. Herin, Jr. Betty is survived by her grandsons David W. (Paula), James L. (Trisha), Terry L. (Amy) and Brian A. (Pam) Mills and granddaughter Monica Semler; great grandchildren Melissa, Tiffany, Dahlia and Noah Mills, Jeffrey Semler, Andrew and Madelin Mills, great-great granddaughter Zoe, and many, many others that considered Betty their grandma. Betty was fiercely independent throughout her life and always had a way of brightening any room. After moving to Colorado Springs, she called MacKenzie Place home where she had many, many friends. She loved the Colorado Mountains, Cripple Creek, and her Colorado Family. Til then, "Love ya Hun!" Funeral services Fri., Oct. 26, 1 P.M. at BOPP CHAPEL, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. Interment, Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation Thurs., Oct. 25, 4-7 P.M.
