Betty Ridolfi Obituary

Betty Lee Ridolfi lost her brief but courageous battle with cancer on July 3, 2005 at the Fluente De Vida Hospice in Pueblo. She was born in Roy, N.M. to Louis Allen and Ruby Olevia Schneider Smith on October 13, 1940. Betty is survived by her beloved husband Louis of 49 years, her daughters: Donna (Mike) McKenzie and Bernidine Censner of Woodland Park; her son Michael of Trinidad and her brother, Ken (Patsy) Smith from San Diego, California. Betty was the proud and loving grandmother of Renee, Ryan and Reid Raleigh, Lisa and Derick Carraway, Anthony and Audra Ridolfi, and Kristien and Mathew McKenzie. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Peggy Taylor. Betty's life was dedicated in providing a warm and caring home for her husband and family. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren, she also enjoyed crafts, part-time volunteer work and membership at her church. Funeral services, followed by a reception, will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at King of Kings Lutheran Church located at 2561 Vinewood Lane in Pueblo. At 5:00 p.m. that same afternoon, a brief graveside service will held at the Woodland Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Mortuary in Pueblo.

Louie, You may not remember me, but I worked with you a long time ago at Mountain Bell. I was the clerk to Geo. Walker, Out-District Manager, in Colorado Springs and I believe you were in Leadville at the time. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy in your loss, as well as that of my husband, Marv.

Sincerely, Bev Smith

I can't imagine how difficult this time is for all of you. I remember Betty most at high school basketball games...she always clapped the loudest and fastest and I liked to sit by her. She loved her family and always had time to ask about everyone and their lives. We hope you all know that we love you and care so much for you now and always.

It is with great sorrow I write this to you all. But how thankful I am for the memories God gives us and I have many, many of Betty. I will never forget her smile and the enthusiasm she displayed when she would see me. She always made me feel like she was glad to see me. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. I love you all! Shirley Griffin and Family
