Who can explain how the universe speaks to us of someone we met so many years ago,as Betty had been on my mind these past two weeks. I met her while she was a patient of Dr. Herman's at LAIR on the Presidio of San Francisco and was impressed and enjoyed her company and her stories about her family. I'm sure she's missed but am happy to see she was blessed with a long life in spite of her illness. She was remarkable.

I was saddened to hear the news of Betty's passing. We kept in touch off and on for quite a few years via email and the occasional phone call. She loved to talk !
Please accept our sincere condolences.

Betty and my mother-in-law, Geneva Petran were cousins - Betty was such a wonderful friend to Genenva and they would talk often - she would also visit Geneva in Neffs, Ohio over the years -- Betty was so very well informed and knowledgable about her medical condition - I learned much from her -
I will miss my phone calls from her --
My husband, Richard and I did get to visit with Betty several years ago - I am so very glad we were able to do so -
she always talked of her sons and especially proud of her grandson Max!
Sincerely,
Susan Gilbert Petran ( Virginia Beach, Va.)
