Eric, Tammy, Nancy and Sonny - I cannot explain the sadness that I felt today when Chris told me of Betty's passing. Although it's been many years since I have seen Betty, there is a fondness in my heart for her and all of you and I think of you all daily. May your hearts fill with happy thoughts and remember her love and her laugh and love each other more today than you did yesterday. All my prayers and thoughts are with you all as you rejoice her memory!

We just found out today (December 9) that Betty went to be with the Lord or we would have been at her Celebration of Life service. Betty was a willing volunteer to help with some of the office work at Central Christian Church. She sent birthday cards to our members on their birthdays; she answered the phone on Mondays so the staff could have a "phone free" staff meeting; and for several years she typed the church calendar that we inserted in our newsletter. Thank you for your service Betty. We will miss your special home computer Christmas card this year.
We were blessed by having known you.

Betty Ann was part of my life for over 50 years beginning with our careers at Exchange National. We played piano & organ, shopping & just had a good time being together and loving each other and our spouses. God bless the family.
Love to all.

Family of Betty,
After attending Betty's service, some things that were said jogged my memory... I, too, will miss Betty's frequent and beautifully made cards. She sent many to Mom throughout the years. We always got a kick out of turning the card over to see her signature handmade notation. Betty's yummy and lovingly made Christmas goodies were always appreciated and anticipated by our family. That peanut butter fudge could turn a frown upside down!

Lastly, I can remember calling Betty on my cell phone last Christmas season as I was standing in Safeway. I had wanted to see if she could provide the ingredient list for her homemade summer sausage. In typical Betty form, she graciously took the time to fulfill my request. Betty always took the time.

Betty had great taste, a great laugh, and even greater faith. She will be missed.

I am sorry that our time with Betty has come to an end. I always enjoyed being with her. She was down-to-earth (practical), honest, and open. I'm so glad she married my brother as she was the love of his life and made a wonderful home for their family. Our whole family thought the world of her. I visited her near the end, and though it was difficult to see her suffering, there was no doubt that she was ready to receive the Lord and move on into eternal life. I'm thankful that her family was there to make her more comfortable in the last days here. My deepest sympathies to all of you for the loss of this very special woman.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Peace, prayers and blessings.

Betty, though our encounters were all too brief, I was blessed to have known a woman who conducted herself with such dignity and compassion in trying times. Those Earth bound worries are behind you now and I know that you are enjoying a wonderous new adventure and the pleasures that you have richly earned. I wish you love and miracles.

I loved Betty for her honesty and upfront personality. She was an excellent supervisor and one of the most intelligent people I knew. Yes, she loved and believed in God and His ways. She was a devoted friend. I will truly miss her, and I know she is in the hands of Our Lord, watching over us.
With Love,

Betty was my dear sister-in-Christ. We had a close bond, and shared many laughs with each other. I will miss her playing the piano for our sing-along's. She will always be in my heart. It's hard to lose her, but we all know she has completed her mission here, and is now with her Savior. It was an honor being her sister-in-law.

Mom (Betty),
Though tears of sorrow stream down my face,
In His loving arms you now embrace,
Though left behind for now we may be,
Your spirit with Jesus has been set free,
Though this journey we all must take, and each must go alone,
This is only one step on the road to going home,
And when the time is right for me to cross the great divide,
I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side...

I was fortunate & blessed to have know Betty for the past 5-1/2 years. She was an amazing woman with a beautiful spirit and love for God. She's home now and forever with God and her family - and as I told her, No goodbyes....we will see her later.
Her grandsons, Kyle, Cole & Ryan - were lucky and blessed to have a Nana as wonderful as Betty Ann...they carry a peice of her forever in their hearts. She surely was loved and will be missed!

I am blessed to have Betty for a Aunt. She has watched over my family since my Mom was a little girl. I am blessed that my 4 year old son got to know and learn and laugh with Aunt Betty. He loves her very much. When I told him it was time for Betty to be with Jesus he asked me why. Then he asked me "when does she have to go, I want to say good-bye." When I said she had already gone to be with Jesus. His eyes filled with sadness. Then with a strong sound in his voice. He said.. "I'm going to throw a big rope to Heaven and bring her back down!" As my tears rolled down my cheek, I too wished he could throw that rope. We will miss her here on earth and I know that she will "still" be watching over us from Heaven with the Lord by her side. Her life is a celebration and we are the lucky ones to have shared it with her. God Bless to everyone who knew her and loved her.

Some people talk about their faith and others live a life that exemplifies their faith. Betty was an example of what a Godly women and mother should be. Betty's life was a testimony to her faith, love for the Lord, and love for her family and friends. We so enjoyed the conversations in the past months. You richly blessed our lives and we thank God we were blessed to know you. The promises that were made will always be close and never forgotten. We yearn for the day when we see your beautiful smile and are reunited in heaven.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My sympathies to the Turner family. Betty was a true gem, and will be deeply missed.

This past Sunday, our Pastor talked of taking risks: saying that holding on tight to what you have is a path to death, whereas sharing your gifts, and sharing your love of God and Christ, is the way to life.

Betty was remarkable to me in that she was generous and forthright in this way, and amply shared her faith and trust in God.

God bless her, and those that love her.
