Bev Ivy Obituary

Bev Ivy passed away on July 31st. She went peacefully, with family holding her hand and telling her how much they loved her. She lived life to the fullest, and with a vibrancy and faith that have been an inspiration to many.

She is survived by her husband Lou and children Randy, Amber and son-in-law Toly, Josiah, Ashaley, and Amity. Her grandchildren, which she loved dearly, are Alisha, Mason, Aevry, Aria and Kenneth. She is also survived by brother Jim and sisters Trisha, Janet and Linda.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, August 10 at 3PM at Pavilion of Reflections, Olinger's Crown Hill Mortuary and Cemetery, 7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Interment will be at the cemetery following the service, with a reception after.

Even though Bev loved flowers, instead please consider making a donation on her behalf to The Pendulum Foundation www.pendulumfoundation.com. This is Colorado's oldest Juvenile Justice reform group, and they have worked tirelessly to help a person very precious to Bev, as well as many other teens get a second chance at life.

We hope to see Bev's friends and loved ones this Sunday to celebrate her life.

Bev leaves a legacy of her beautiful spirit and brave demeanor that has taught me to soldier on no matter what life hands you. She is and always will be an inspiration to me on how to live a positive life and to persevere. I admire her for the love and generosity she spread without asking anything for herself.

Bev was a very grand sweet woman with a heart of gold. I had the honor to meet her through my niece Lynn, every time I went to visit my sister we had to meet Bev for free pie on Wednesdays. May she rest in peace, she is no longer suffering. I will miss her. She always hard gifts for us she was super. I love Bev very much. My condolences go out to her husband Lou and her children and grandchildren.

I have a very big gaping hole in my heart that was once filled with such effervescence wrapped up in Bev Ivy. I find that breathing is tougher, that bright colors have dimmed and that the pain of losing her as my dearest friend/sister seems impossible. Very rarely in life are any of us given true unconditional love by another person, and yet I am honored beyond belief to have held and enjoyed that love through Bev.

Words cannot do justice to describe the light Bev produced for so many. While there is a great feeling of loss, there is also a huge piece of my heart where she will remain. She was like a mother to me and along with that blessing she blessed me with bringing me into her beautiful family. I love you all and know that Bev was so proud of you. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers and will be there in spirit. - I will be sure to spend the day celebrating Bev and things she loved (drinking starbucks, eating dessert, looking at flowers..…all while wearing bright colors and jewelry). *angel on earth, angel in heaven*
