Beverly Covey Obituary

Covey
BEVERLY JEAN COVEY
April 1954 - August 2018
Beverly Jean Covey was born April 5, 1954 to Clarence Edward Cimino and Mary Ann Humphrey, she was their eldest child. Not only was Bev an amazing daughter, but she was also everything to a lot of people. Bev was married to the love of her life, Lee, for forty-six and a half years and together they had a daughter, Lisa. She was better known as Nan or Nana to her grandkids, Beth and Ashley, and her great-grandbabies, Adrianna and Mackenzie. She was the best daughter, wife, mom and Nana that anyone could have ever asked for.
Bev was a homemaker, but also opened her home for many years, to not only watch her grandkids, but became fondly known as "Nan" to all of the children that became part of her extended family. She took great pride in watching many of these children become great role models, as well as parents themselves.
Following her time as the best babysitter this side of the Rockies, Bev began working at the Vineyard Golf Club as the General Manager. Being the friendly caring person that she was, she quickly became one of the best things about the course. Everyone knew Bev and knew that walking in to the Clubhouse, they would be greeted with a smile and probably a hug. She was well-known at karaoke nights for sitting in the corner, pretending not to sing.
For almost ten years, Bev was the primary caregiver to not only both of her parents, but also her Uncle Harry. In the most recent years, Bev watched her great-grandbabies, who loved getting to spend every day with their Nana.
Not only was she crazy about her family, she also loved fishing, gardening, and watching both the Broncos and the Rockies.
Bev passed away peacefully in her sleep after a courageous, almost four-year battle with cancer. She not only kept a positive attitude through it all, but she also fought the disease with grace, even at the most painful of times.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann; her father, Clarence; fathers-in-law, Leylan L. Covey and Rollins Connors; as well as her son-in-law, Gary.
Bev is survived by her husband, Lee; her daughter, Lisa (Jake); granddaughters, Beth (Jimmy) and Ashley; her great-granddaughters, Adrianna and Mackenzie; her mother-in-law, Freda Connors; sisters-in-law, Sandy and Bonnie Jo; and a brother-in-law, John. As well as many other family members and friends.
We will forever feel the void left by our Nana, Mom, and Wife, but we were so incredibly blessed to have her in our lives for any amount of time. She was the most amazing person and anyone who had the honor of knowing her will agree.
You were our hero, now you're our angel, if love could have saved you, you never would have gone, your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
Celebration of Life, 1:00PM, Sunday, Sept-ember 16, 2018, at Bev's home. Please feel free to email us at [email protected] for directions.
