CWO4 (Ret) Billy E. Edwards Bishop, 86, formerly of Black Forest, was called home on October 15, 2021 in Sun City West, Arizona. Billy was born July 27, 1935 to William "Bill" and Marie Lamar Edwards in Dearborn, Missouri. Billy moved with his mother to the Colorado Springs, Colorado area in 1939 and was adopted by his stepfather, Vincent L. Bishop. He attended several schools in El Paso County, graduating from Falcon High School in 1954. Billy married Sheila Danford, his high school sweetheart in July 1954.



Billy joined the United States Army in December 1957, and retired in October 1983 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. After retiring from the Army, he worked as a real estate agent for Merit Real Estate, specializing in military relocation. Billy and Sheila loved to square dance and travel in their motorhome. Billy leaves behind his beloved wife, Sheila, of the home, son, Billy E. Bishop, Jr., daughter, Susan Fisher (Brent); grandson Billy E. Bishop, III (Courtney); great granddaughter, Hannah Moeller; great grandsons, Anderson and Griffin Bishop; great-great grandson, Cooper Anderson. Billy is also survived by his siblings, Shelby Bishop, Janice Saxe, Marilyn Lister, Ted Edwards, Veronica Shelton and David Edwards.



A memorial service will be held at a later date in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
