Billy Lee Post, 80, Chief Master Sergeant, USAF, retired, passed away on December 23, 2008, at his home of last three years, A Robin's Nest in Colorado Springs. Bill was born September 26, 1928, in Janesville, Illinois. He was the third son of Walter and Ava Lee Post. When he was 8 years old, the family moved to Phoenix, and later to San Diego. In 1951, Bill was assigned to the printing depot for Headquarters USAFE in Wiesbaden, Germany. He met his wife, Roberta, there, and they were married in February 1953. After being stationed for four years in Arizona, his next assignment was at the newly relocated United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, where he worked in the Academy's printing plant. Following a three-year assignment in Hawaii, Bill returned to manage the printing plant at the Air Force Academy, until his retirement in 1978.
