I have lost a very dear friend. Blakemore
was a man that gave me so much valued private advice that I will treasure forever.
For fun, he was a heck of a gin player.
I beat him one time but when he won he was always a gracious winner!
To his dear Barb, you had one great man but I will never forget your friendship and non-judgemental support and friendship. You were a great woman
to him. Please take care! I share
your loss!
Best Always!

I have recently lost one of my very best friends and influences in my life . A giant of a man . Blakemore shared his wisdom , experience, and friendship with me for 28+ years since the first day that I just knocked on his office door and introduced myself. I wanted to tell him that I thought one of his real estate projects was very cool and I wanted to meet the person behind it.
He was as old then as I am now , mid 50's.. He had his two dogs in the office with , Micah a white mutt, and Blackie , a small terrier. He was standing on a Bongo Board just balancing for the fun of it . I liked his style and from then till now he became part of my life. He encouraged me in every way . Complimenting my success, understanding my failures always telling me to reach further.
A father figure, a grandfather figure , a mentor , a best friend. A counselor, attorney, banker. I could go on and on ... but the most important thing he ever did for me was to let me Dream... never did he say that's dumb, you're stupid, it'll never work , you can't do it .. He allowed me to fail and to succeed .
I am truly forever grateful for the time he shared with me ....
How can you not smile when you think of Blakemore McCarty

I have known Blakemore McCarty since I was child. He and Barb have been as close and important to me as my parents and have always looked upon Blake with the same love, respect and admiration I keep for my own father. When I was younger my sister, Morgan, and I would always look forward to the opportunity to visit Blake and Barb as there was always a new adventure to be had (along with the old routines which we also loved). I have been fortunate to have had Blake in my life and appreciate all that he shared with me throughout. I currently live in Asia and he is partly responsible for sparking my interests and providing my initial insights to the region. In my travels I often think of how Blake would enjoy being there at that time and wish he could be with me. Now, I know that he will indeed be there with me always.

Blakemore was a dear friend to me and my staff at the Memorial Pulmonary Rehab. The patients who worked out with Blakemore received constant encouragement and advice from him. He was always engaging and filled with positive influence to lift everyone's spirits. We miss him in the gym and are better for have known him. Uncle Blake was a cool guy, and he was so much fun!!! He never aged in spirit!! He did indeed always take the time to help us whenever we needed him. He made each person feel very important, and he supported even the zaniest of ideas. He cared deeply about his wife, family, friends, and community. There truly will never be another "Blake McCarty." He was a very powerful role model, and our lives are richer for having known him. He will be missed very much, and he will live on in our hearts.

Uncle Blake made a positive impact on our community and influenced the lives of many in his years of service. I will remember him most for taking time to encourage my personal development and the times we shared at family gatherings. He was never too busy to share his advice and experience when asked. Thank you, Uncle Blake, for being an important part of my life. Love, Michael.
