Blanche Weaver Obituary

Blanche Dorene (Register) Weaver passed away April 28, 2008 in La Jara, Colorado. Beloved wife of the late Ted R. Weaver. Devoted mother of Beverly Elwell (Jack), Ralph Weaver, Barbara (Martin) Christensen, Ray Weaver, Betty Fell and late husband, Bob Fell. Loving sister of Dickie and Donna. Cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Ron, eight sisters, one brother and four grandchildren. Blanche loved her family, friends and neighbors and loved to cook and bake for everyone. She made a lot of lifelong friends on her mail route as she drove 100 miles a day to Guffey. She loved to decorate for Christmas so that the neighbors could enjoy the spirit of the season on the way home from work. Blanche and her husband were original homesteaders of Divide, CO. and have a street named after them. The couple was also founding members of Little Chapel of the Hills in Divide. A celebration of her life will be held Sat., May 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Little Chapel of the Hills, Divide, CO. Visitation May 2, 2008, 5-8pm at Mountain Memorial. Interment at Divide Pioneer Cemetery, Divide, CO. Funeral arrangements at Mountain Memorial Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice or to Children's Ark. Visitation May 2, 2008, 5-8pm at Mountain Memorial.
