Bob DeLange Obituary

Bob DeLange was called very quickly to assist those on high in organizing Fantasy Football Leagues and tee times at

Eisenhower Golf Course. He was the commissioner of his Fantasy Leagues while on earth and the Almighty couldn't think of anyone better to assist him. He loved his Broncos, packed his clubs and departed this earth at 1:50am on

October 26, 2016 for his new assignment.

Bob was born on October 30, 1940 and was adopted by

Harold and Margaret DeLange. He grew up in Sioux City, IA and graduated from Heelan High School. He graduated from Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID with a BS degree in Business Administration. On March 21, 1964, he married Charlotte Kinnaman in Pocatello, ID.

He worked for Amoco Oil for 28 years until he retired in 1997 living in Utah, Idaho and finally Colorado.

Family and friends were very important to Bob. He loved to entertain his golfing buddies and have a few shooters. He liked to hunt pheasants, fish, snow mobile and golf. He also liked to travel and go to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl.

He leaves behind his best friend and wife, Charlotte. They were married 52 years and enjoyed each other 99% of the time. He also leaves behind his brother and sister-in law, Paul and Theresa DeLange of Algona, IA, sisters Dee Ludwig of Boston, MA, Collen Witter in Peyton, CO and Jeannine

Walter of Aurora, CO. Family was very important to Bob. He took every opportunity to spend time with family and friends and give them advice.

There will be a prayer service at 1:00pm at Swan-Law Funeral, 501 W Cascade, Colorado Springs, CO. Casual golf and sports attire please. A private celebration party will be held later.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to

Bob DeLange was a fine man. I met him through EMGA and it was my honor and privilege to meet him, play golf with him, talk to him, and to know him.

Bob was one of the first guys I met when I joined at Eisenhower GC in 1980...and, the last guy I will forget. Many great golf games together, competitive tournaments, and the Member/Guest outings with the big blow outs at the house. One of the last of the really good guys!! Charlotte...our deepest condolences and thoughts are with you!

Bob was one of a kind. The EMGA will not be the same without him. I expect he will be shooting his age and winning all the Nassau's from now on, since that would certainly be included in his idea of heaven.
