Bobbie Ray (8/2/28-6/30/22) and Maxine Louise Drake (2/24/28-10-28/22) passed peacefully within weeks of each other while living with family in Vista, CA. They were married 70 years.
Bobbie, from Elk City, OK & Maxine, from Cleveland, OH, met at college in KC, MO. where they graduated from Park University and married in the chapel.
Bobbie then received a degree from Michigan in engineering and began a career that took the family to Venezuela, Florida, Canada, Colorado and Pennsylvania and back to Colorado where he retired.
Maxine received her Masters in Special Ed. and taught in PA. where all 4 children graduated from the same high school.
They returned to CO to the small ranch they owned and loved since the sixties. There, they enjoyed family, friends, animals and planting trees.
They are survived by 4 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. A celebration of life is planned for 2023.
