Bobby Barry Obituary

February 16, 1931- December 30, 2008
Bob Barry passed away peacefully on December 30th with family at his side after a long battle with lung disease. Bob was born in Bonham, Texas, to James Carl Barry and Mary Vaughn Barry. He was a graduate of Roxton High School in 1948 and a US Navy Korean War veteran. After his service in the Navy, an interesting career as a Food Service Manager took Bob and his family to Hawaii, California, Nevada, and Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands as well as Texas, Arkansas and Washington. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Lynn F. Jackson Barry; his brother, James Howard Barry; and his sister, Mary Anna Barry Foster. He is survived by daughters Marsha (Edward) Rosinski and Rachel (Michael) Wilson, both of Colorado Springs, grandchildren Allison Gibbs Paschal (Daniel) of Alabama, Barry Gibbs (Andrea) of Arizona, Brett and Sydney Wilson of Colorado Springs, Danielle Rosinski of Colorado Springs and Nickoli Rosinski of North Carolina, great-grandchildren Brianna, Colin, Makenzie and Will Paschal of Alabama, his brother-in-law Ted Foster of Arkansas, and his sister-in-law Eva Dickens Barry of Georgia. He will be missed by all. Bob's family would like to offer thanks to the staff of all of the facilities that have been involved in his care and well-being over the past few years: Cheyenne Place, Fountain Garden Apartments, Winslow Court, Aspen Living Center, Myron Stratton Home, Sunny Vista and especially to Penrose Hospital. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Penrose St. Francis Foundation, In Memory of Bob Barry, 957 East Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
