Bobby Gieck Obituary

Bobby Dean Gieck passed away at the age of 83 on January 29, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born on June 9, 1932 to Dewey and Lela Gieck in Kendrick, Colorado.

He was raised in eastern Colorado along with his brothers, DJ and David, and sisters, Estell and Jean. In 1952 he married his high school sweetheart, Fay Miller, and enjoyed 64 years together. They had four handsome sons, Larry Dean (Kathy), Terry Gene (Michelle), Gary Lee (Diane), and Perry Lyn.

Bob worked for many years as a photo finisher with Fox Photo. He later opened B&G Heating and Air Conditioning which employed some of his sons. Bob enjoyed playing many sports in which he excelled. He was a softball pitcher and was inducted into the Fast Pitch Hall of Fame. He also enjoyed basketball, hunting, fishing and golf. Bob and Fay lived many years in Colorado Springs and traveled to Tucson, Arizona as snowbirds. They eventually moved to Tucson permanently due to Bob's health issues.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, DJ, and sister, Estell.

He is survived by his wife, Fay, his four sons, 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016, at 11am at Sunny Side Christian Church; 2025 N Murray Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80915. Lunch to follow..
