Bonnie Fitzpatrick Obituary

May 8, 1921 - Nov. 13, 2007. Bonnie Mae Fitzpatrick was born May 8th, 1921 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and passed away on November 13th, 2007. She is preceded in death by her mother Orvilla Belle Fitzpatrick, father James Arthur Fitzpatrick. As well as three brothers, Charles Perry Fitzpatrick, Arthur Lester Fitzpatrick, and William Atwater. She is survived by her two sisters, Marybelle Boatright of Colorado Springs, and Constance Knox of Colorado Springs. One daughter Lucky and husband Andy King of Homosassa, Florida. One nephew James Dennis of Colorado Springs. Four granddaughters; Shawntae Pace of Colorado, Springs; Sonja and husband Chuck Watzel of Pahrump, Nevada; Saleana and husband Woody Salge of Odessa, Texas; Corinna and husband Jeff Thompson of Odessa, Texas. Five great-grand kids and numerous family members. Bonnie's passions were ranching and to become a business woman. Her dream came true in 1964 when the Dublin House opened in Colorado Springs. The success was immediate. This "High Class" Irish restaurant was her heart and soul. Bonnie and her family suffered during the depression, and she was determined to become somebody and she did. "There is no excuse for anyone to give up," you have to have "determination" she would say. Bonnie was a very giving woman, if there was anyone in need she was there to help. Every Christmas she invited hundreds of underprivileged boys and girls to the Dublin House where they would have a party and receive gifts and all the goodies they can eat. She knew she was making a difference in these kids' lives. Bonnie was a true Irish woman. You see her, you see luck. To so many people Bonnie was a mother, a grandmother and most of all a true friend. She would rope the moon for you if you asked. You couldn't help but want to be around her. Her smile would light the Colorado Skies, and everyone that was in her life knew that feeling. She will be always be loved and remembered. The Lord is a Lucky Man!!
