Bradley Logan Obituary

Lt. Colonel Bradley Harald Logan (USAF, Ret.) passed away at his home on October 28, 2013 in Colorado Springs.

Brad was born in Colfax, Washington on May 24, 1928 to the late Harald and Beulah (Marty) Logan. After graduating high school, Brad attended the University of California and then graduated from Washington State College with a B.S. in Agriculture. Brad proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for more than 20 years; attaining numerous medals, badges and commendations. He then went on to work in civil service for the years following his retirement.

On February 3, 1952, Brad married Antoinette "Toni" Hubbert in Berkeley, California and together had two sons. The family traveled all over the United States but especially loved Alaska. Brad was an avid bowler and loved the outdoors. He was a jack of all trades; often helping out neighbors with household projects. He enjoyed skiing, playing cards, fishing, camping, computers, "crunching" numbers and spending time with his family, many friends and his labrador retrievers. He loved his yard and worked hard so that it would look beautiful. He was always outside puttering around either weeding, mowing, sweeping leaves, or repairing the sprinkler system or watering during the cold weather. His gardening was very important to him.

Brad is survived by his beloved wife, Toni; sons: Robert "Bob" and James "Jim" (Sheri) Logan and one sister, Thelma (Ernst) Taron. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Cody (Lindsay) Logan, Chelsea (Daniel) Pell and Callie Logan.

Memorial services and military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel. A reception will immediately follow services at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 S. Union Boulevard.

I was a former piano student of Harald Logan, father of Lt. Col. Bradley Logan. I did not know or see Mr. Harald Logan's two children in 1965 but my honor and respect is forever great and everlasting as having studied with the greatest piano mentor. Thus I can only conclude that Lt. Col.was also a brilliant and outstanding man. I send my deepest condolences and prayers to his family.
