The first love of my life. Then when we reconnected, you passed after the gap in our talks before we had the change to get together. I think of you and your dad from time to time. Catch you on the flipside. :)

I visited my Mom in San Ramon yesterday and we were just chatting about Brad because she gave me a box full of some California High School memories, cards and pictures. Thinking of you Brad, and my thoughts go out to your Mom and the rest of your family. Hugs and kisses, Cammy Jo

Its hard to believe its been almost 5 yrs since you passed Brad. You are still greatly missed and I wish the best for your family. I look back at the 80s and think what a great era we grew up in, and in that 80s canvas was Brad Zurflu that pic of you in your senior ball pic brings it all back. I think your best quality was that you befriended people who were not as popular as you it did not matter to you. You had a great heart my brother, I will always remember that. Jeff

I was so sad to hear about this today, almost a year after Brad's passing. We became good friends shortly after Brad moved to San Ramon from El Cerrito, and I have very fond memories of the time I spent with him from 1980 to 1985. After I moved away from the bay area we managed to get together dozen or so times over the next 10 years, and it was always a good time catching up, backslapping and reminiscing. Children started to take up all my time, a phone number was lost or something, and 20 years went by in a flash. I deeply regret not staying in touch, and missing our high school reunion in 2011.

Brad had a confidence and charisma that was the envy of many of his friends. Girls liked him, and guys wanted to be like him. I clearly remember the day he brought home a full-size Marshall stack concert amplifier , and plugged that baby in for the first time. To say it was a big deal for a kid in 1982 to own something like that would probably be an understatement. We would sit in the flag room (named for the giant American flag that draped the ceiling and all four walls in his music den ), and watch him laydown Jimmy Page, and Michael Shanker leads until he had them note perfect.

My condolences to the family and other loved ones.

Rest in peace Brad. I'll see you in Xanadu!

I was shocked and saddened when I heard of Brad's passing. I met Brad in December 1984. It's hard to believe that was thirty years ago. Our paths crossed many times since then, but unfortunately it hadn't in recent years. I often thought about him and hoped he was doing well.

I will always remember him as having a charismatic personality and fun to be around. He will be missed by many and remembered forever.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I'm very saddened to hear about Brad passing. He was very kind and I will remember him being one of my best friend's first true love. It was great hanging out with him at our reunion and picnic. I'm glad he chose our "group" to sit with. My girlfriends and I were happy to have him join our table and catch up with him. I have many memories and my heart goes out to his family. Please let me know of any memorials.

I am very sorry for your loss. I was saddened to hear he is gone so soon. I remember hanging out with Brad when he lived on Davona Dr. We had many fun times. Brad dated some of my friends and he was good to them. He was always good to me too! Definitely one of the finer guys I knew from San Ramon. He had a great heart for people! He will be missed by many!
