Brenda (Jodi) Scarlett, 81, passed away in Colorao Springs, Colorado on June 24, 2021. She was born November 30, 1939 in Las Animas, Colorado and grew up in La Junta, Colorado. She was the most loving, caring mother and grandmother we could have been blessed with. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
As a young child growing up in La Junta she loved ice skating, tennis, swimming and riding horses. In high school she fell in love with and married David Scarlett. They had three daughters from this union.
She loved being surrounded by family and enjoyed get-togethers with friends and family. She was an amazing cook, loved the Broncos, being outdoors and camping in the Colorado mountains.
Left to cherish her memory are two brothers, Dan (Kris) Inskeep, Jim (Cheryl) Inskeep, daughters Debbie (Roy) Laney, Diane (Sam Cimino) Scarlett and Lisa (Bruce McNulty) Scarlett. Grandchildren include Jennifer, Elizabeth, Zach, Conrad, Abran, Danielle, Aaron and five great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care or the Vintage Dog Rescue at www.cominischnauzerrescue.com.
