Brenda Whitlock Obituary

In Memory Of Brenda Day Whitlock April 26, 1965 - July 5, 2001. Six years ago today you were lost to us. Your memory, the Brenda we all knew and loved, lives on within us. We hope you will continue to look after us in our everyday lives. May your memory remind us that we can't do it alone, and that we need to revisit and strengthen our faith in a higher power. And help us manage our stones of regret, and the sorrow we carry that can often seem overwhelming. Help others understand that the continued dedication to your memory is not a search for your redemption, or a cleansing of your compunction, but rather a charge that speaks to duty; loyalty and commitment to your true essence in life. I miss you everyday, and many, many others do as well. If only you could have let ANY of us in, and accepted what you meant to us while you were here. And be assured you will NEVER forgotten. "Tell me, did Venus blow your mide, was it everything you wanted to find, and did you miss me while you were looking for your self out there?

Brenda, see you when I get home!
Been a long hall but God's got me!

I didn't know Brenda Whitlock, but came across her remembrance here in the Obituary Section and loved what was written. Generally, I am not one to write in to state my opinion or give my comment, but I was captured by the writer's conviction for Brenda. These words are how I would describe my brother's death, whom also passed on there in Colorado Springs.
