Brent, oh How we all wish you were here with us. To know how your life would have unfolded. I dream of that often... the memories we never got to share.... your wedding, your children, your accomplishments, your visits, holidays, smiles, jokes, laughter, all the amazing memories we never had are left only for us to imagine since you passed. But I take those imagined memories, and I KNOW; without a doubt, that you have been free from ALS, free from being restricted in your your free will, of movement, free from sadness. I also KNOW that we WILL see each other again. I believe that with all my heart. I know that you feel our sadness. I pray that our Lord will comfort your mom, dad, sister, Rich, and all of us who knew and loved you. Oh how we miss you, Dear Brent. My handsome, sweet, loving nephew. I remember every minute we shared. Until we meet again.......

I remember Brent with such affection. He was a wonderful man. I remember when he was born the year I graduated high school and when he was a toddler taking him to the playground in Northport on the swing sets and what a happy baby he was. Karen and Dave are the best parents anyone could hope for and they took amazing care of him through his dreadful illness. He is missed daily. Forever.

God saw you were getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, "Come to me"
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
Brent, your family became mine and you have forever made an imprint on my heart. I am heartbroken that you are no longer here, but thankful you are out of pain and watching over all of us. Everyone who knew you now has a special guardian angel... Thank you for being an amazing individual while you were here... Walk amongst the clouds and keep that warm smile upon your face. You are loved and missed. Until the day my friend, fly high with the angels. Love you.

Brent, I'll miss the "arguments" we used to have about our nieces and the teasing you gave me about being short. When my brother married your sister, I gained another brother and I am so glad for that. I wish we had gotten more time together but I'm grateful for the time we had. I promise to try to be the best auntie to the girls and the best sister to Amy and Rich that I can be. You were a special part of all of us and you are now and will be forever missed.

I remember Brent as being so "old" and cool because he had his own apartment when we were in high school. Wow :)! He never treated us like the young moochers we were, always quiet and kind- even to his firey sarcastic little sis ;) ;)!!! So sorry for the Gardners hurt right now, my prayers go out to you all.

For the last 15 years the entire Gardner Family has been an essential part of our lives. You helped and watched our children grow and gave every bit of love and kindness to our families as you did your own. You all truly are looked upon as part of our extended family. Brent was always looked up to (more than literally ^_^) by the kids at the Depot and was and will be loved dearly by all those who had the honor to have their lives touched by him.

Time is too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice,
But for those who love, time is eternity.
Hours fly, flowers die,
New days, new ways pass by,
Love stays.
We all love Brent and nothing can diminish that. He touched so many of our lives and I am grateful for the time that we were able to call him our friend.

Dear Karen, Dave, Amy, Rich, Layne, Avery, Kristy, Barbara, Wendy, PJ, Bev, Al, Arjan, Marky, Iginia, Mark, Philip, Robbie, and Sarah, My Dearest Family, we have lost a son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and dear friend. I wish there were words to say that would remove all the pain and sorrow, but there are none. I especially pray for Karen, Dace, Amy and Rich who have lived with Brent daily and cared for him as only a loving family can. May you find peace and solace in the knowledge that you provided Brent with a blanket of love every day of his life and he is now free of his earthly bonds. Peace in time. With Deepest Love for You All, Aunt Karla Parish
