Brian Preisler Obituary

Brian Preisler, age 41, a resident of Green Mountain Falls, Colorado since 2011 and formerly of Zeeland, Michigan died on January 22, 2017 in Colorado Springs after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was a union electrician.

Brian Joseph Preisler was born on November 20, 1975 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to George and Donna (Hegeman) Preisler. He grew up in Zeeland and was a 1994 graduate of Zeeland High School. He then attended trade school to become a journeyman electrician.

He married Kelli Roelofs on June 12, 2004 in Zeeland. They moved to Spring Lake, Michigan and later moved to Colorado. They welcomed daughter, Lillian, on August 30, 2012. Brian loved the outdoors, spending time with the people he loved, especially his wife and adored daughter. Brian never met a stranger; he could and would talk to everyone he came across. Brian was a doer, whether renovating his own home or helping anyone he noticed to be in need. Brian was truly a giver.

He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be best remembered for the adoration of his daughter and his great stories.

Brian is survived by his wife; Kelli Preisler and his daughter; Lillian Preisler of Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, his parents; George and Donna Preisler of Allegan, Michigan, his sister; Cheryl (Mark) Hense of Battle Creek, Michigan and nieces and nephews; Ava, Jake, and Cody Hense.

He also leaves father and mother-in-law; Jack and Joann Roelofs; sister-in-law; Kerri (Mike) Ploeg, and nieces and nephews; Brennan and Kiara Scholten, and James and Franklin Ploeg.

Memorial Service, 6:00PM, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80909.

Brian, you are still so present in our lives and our love for you is so strong and glowing as the memories present to our minds and hearts-the pictures of you we have around the house including the "spirit picture you created smiling by the grey wolf that I had enlarged to frame!!
We remember you playing with Lillian and Ava, Cody, and Jake
Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. Isaiah 60:20. You will continue to live on in our hearts and minds until we shall meet again our son.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. Brian was a great guy and good friend. I remember many good times in Imperial Estates playing baseball, video games and with your chocolate lab (Bear?). May God strengthen and provide peace in this difficult time.
