Brock Benson Obituary

I did not know Sgt. Benson, I was looking up the obit of a friend named Benson and came across Sgt. Benson's obituary. Having trained as a Company Aid Man with the USMC I wanted to read his story. He seemed to be a very "squared-away Marine", and as a veteran, I give my sincerest condolences to his family. "Semper Fidelis", Sgt. Brock.

I can't believe 7 years have come and gone. We miss you dearly my friend and think about you daily. Love to you!

My prayers go out to the family and i am very proud of your son.

Thank you for your service and I pray for your family. Times WILL be tough, but one thing is true, he would want you to carry on!

I knew Brock when he was a Officer at the prison. He was all ways willing to assist any of his fellow Officers with any assignment. Such a great Officer. We will miss you!

Although I do not know Brock or his family, I came across this obituary today of this fine young man, Sgt. Brock Benson. and would like to offer my sympathy to his family. I am grateful for his service. May he rest in peace.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Benson. My heart is heavy as I write this... I worked with Benson at the Prison and he always was so positive in such a negative place. I feel like I am a better person for knowing him. May God be with your family at this time of need. You will be missed greatly.

Brock, Going to miss your smile and hugs. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

We love you Brock and will forever miss you. There is no other like you and we were blessed to have been in the presence of your warm smile, wonderful sense of humor and your friendship. I will always remember Brock's smile and laugh. As a former teacher and coach of his, there are many fond memories. He will be missed. Our prayers are with the family and our extended Hi-Plains family.

It seems like yesterday that Brock was the cute, feisty boy on the farm, teaching my kids a thing or two. It's been great to watch him grow and change via Facebook. He obviously grew to be a wonderful man, and certainly a son and brother to be enormously proud of. I am so sorry for your loss, and I am honored to have known Brock. The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to SGT. Brock A. Benson our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Brock. And to Brock it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for his service in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and for the sacrifices he made for his country while serving with the U.S. Marine Corps. No greater love and patriotism is shown than a man lay down his life in service to his country. Brock, you are a brave Marine Warrior and a true Patriot. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace. Semper Fi!

Brock was a special young man. As his kindergarten teacher, I can remember his big smile, his willingness to be helpful, always a little gentleman and always eager to please and do the right thing. He held a special place in my heart. He will be missed.

To Jamie, and the Benson and Lewis families:

Even though we only met Brock last year through Mandolyn and Pat played a couple games of basketball with him, it pains us dearly to hear of his passing. He was certainly a fine young man. Your family is in our prayers and would like you to know that we are here if you ever need anything.

Brock looks like an awesome guy. You look so happy together. No one should lose the love of their life at such a young age. I have no words to express all that I am feeling...you are all in my prayers.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. It's comforting to know that God cares for all of us and losing a loved one is something we cannot get use to. The Bible gives us hope that one day we can see our dear loved one again. On behalf of all mankind Jesus surrender his soul for many. John 15:13 says “No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul on behalf of his friends.” Truly I am sorry to hear of the loss of your dear loved one and I hope these few words will bring you comfort and hope.
