C. Boldt Obituary

C. Laverne Boldt 77, passed away in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born in Petaluma, California to the union of Jesse Clayton Winn and Lois Caroline Stevenson. Laverne married John Boldt in Petaluma, California on July 29, 1945, during their marriage traveled around the world with John as he did his tours in the Air Force. Church was a very important part of Laverne's life, she was very active and involved in the church and with the church leadership. Some of her church involvement included pianist, choir director, chairperson for the "Women of the Church of God," "Dreams of Reality" building fund committee member, church council member, Welcome Center receptionist and Sunday school officer. She leaves to cherish her memory and love, husband; John Boldt, sons: Darwin  (Marilyn) Boldt, Douglas (Teri) Boldt; daughter; Marsha (Tom) Harmon; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road,  following will be a Celebration of Life held at 11:30 a.m. at Vista Grande Church of God 4870 Flintridge Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Vista Grande Church of God, Misson Ministry, 4870 Flintridge, Colorado Springs, CO 80918

Laverne was a special person and I made many dresses for her back in the 1960s and 1970s. I loved it everytime she came to try on a new outfit and it was a joy to see her wearing them in church. Love and prayers, Marie
